This program is for the elite sailor looking to be a part of the race team and
represent the Hubbards Sailing Club at local and out-of-province events.
The CANSail 5 & 6 program integrates boat handling with tactics and strategy to develop the sailor's racing competancy so they can successfully participate in regattas.
There are three boat/class options at this level - th Optimist and 420 (available from HSC), or Laser (supplied by the sailor).

Participants must have Coach approval. Sailors will work on refining boat handling skills, tactics, and strategy. This team's goal will be to travel to local and possibly out-of-province events representing HSC. Sailors will receive Optimist specific coaching from a race team coach. Regattas may fall on weekends and will require support from parents/guardians for team travel.

Laser
Personal boat ownership is required for this program.
The team will work on refining boat handling skills, tactics, and strategy with the goal of traveling to local and possibly out-of-province events representing HSC. Sailors will receive Laser specific coaching from a race team coach. Regattas may fall on weekends and will require support from parents/guardians for team travel.
This program is offered in two-week sessions. Each program runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m for both weeks. Here are the session dates for 2025:

Cost for Participants 2025
